PROSIM BAGS ORDER FOR PIPING AND PROCESSI ENGNEERING, & SEISMIC QUAIFICATION BY FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS (FEA) OF CHILLED WATER PLANT AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OF BOP COMMON SERVICE PACKAGE FOR KUDANKULUM NUCLEAR POWER PROJECT –(KKNPP) OF NUCLEAR POWER PLANT CORPORATION (NPCIL)
ProSIM has bagged an order for piping and process engineering, detailed design plant modelling & seismic evaluation by finite element analysis (FEA) of non-safety related chilled water plant and distribution system of KKNPP site of NPCIL. Delivery includes Hydraulic Pipe sizing calculation, Pressure drop calculation, Piping routing and optimization, Piping stress Analysis, P&ID and PFD, Supports & hanger design, Pipe Isometrics and PDMS 3D modelling. Seismic qualification includes centrifugal chiller unit, filters, chilled water forwarding pumps, control panels & motor operated valves (MOV). ProSIM has to design and optimise the skids used. All the equipment and piping including the skids designed have to be qualified as per guidelines of Atomic Energy Regulatory Board AERB/SG/D-23 and ASME B&PV codes ASME Sec VIII Div1 & Div2, ASME sec II Part D.
ProSIM proposes to use inhouse macros, subroutines, and programs it has developed for this purpose. ProSIM is also coordinating the efforts for seismic evaluation of control panels, and instruments used in the system by shake table testing.
